So… are Anish and Sharmila technically family? Absolutely not. But fate clearly had some plans in mind!
It all started in 2023, at a cousin’s wedding. Sharmila’s aunt pulled her aside and said, “I have the perfect boy for you.” Sharmila’s reaction? A full 180-degree turn and a hard no, thank you!
But as all aunties do, she persisted. Weeks later—and just to make her aunt stop asking—Sharmila agreed to share her number with this so-called “perfect boy.” Enter Anish.
From their very first text, the connection was instant—easy, natural, like they’d known each other for years. What started as a casual chat quickly turned into daily conversations, filled with laughter, stories, and growing curiosity about each other. Then one day, Anish realized they were both likely headed on the same business trip. He texted her: “I’ll see you there.”
…Except, Sharmila had other plans. She told her dad she didn’t need to go and did everything she could to get out of it.
But fate struck again. She ended up having to go to Miami. With only 3 days’ notice, she told Anish, “If you want to meet me, come to Miami.”
Now, Anish had just returned from that work trip. His calendar was packed, and he was exhausted. But when a glow named Sharmila calls… you board that flight.
Sharmila arrived in Miami first, got ready for dinner, and waited. When she opened the door to greet him—it was truly love at first sight.

From that moment, they couldn’t stop talking, laughing, or smiling. It was the kind of weekend that makes time feel like it’s standing still.
They took things slow. Baby steps turned into long conversations, real connection, and eventually, months later… they made it official.
And then, almost two years later… came The Proposal.
The Proposal
Let us set the scene.
Sharmila thought she was heading to a concert with her sister and cousin to see one of her favorite artists. Meanwhile, Anish? He was “just hanging out with the boys.” (A classic decoy. Well done.)
The pre-concert meetup was at the JW Marriott in Panama. Nothing suspicious. Just another after office drinks… until Sharmila walked in. Right there, in the middle of the hotel, was a stunning flower arrangement that read:
“Will you marry me?”
She turned to Anish and said, “Aww, someone’s getting proposed to today!” Anish just smiled… and kept walking. A few more steps… and it hit her. She was the “one.” Cue the shock. Cue the tears. Cue the YES! But wait—it gets even better. Anish had booked a room upstairs. Not for rest, but for glam. Inside waited a hairstylist, a makeup artist, and four gorgeous dresses. A real-life Cinderella moment. (Because photos, obviously.)
When they returned downstairs, looking like something straight out of a movie, Sharmila got another surprise: Her entire family was there. And Anish’s family flew in too all the way from Spain and St. Thomas. No one spoiled the secret. Not a single text. Not even a wink. (We’re still trying to figure out how.) And now, it’s time for the next chapter:

Join us for a joyful evening under the stars as we welcome you to the wedding festivities.
Mehendi is a pre-wedding celebration featuring henna design, symbolizing the love, joy and togetherness of the couple. Our guests will have the opportunity to adorn their beautiful hands with henna designs, adding festivity to the occasion. This event is a celebration of art, culture and togetherness, bringing together the bride and groom, their families and guests in preparation for the wedding day.
Dress Code: Indo-Western Fusion
For women: Sharara pants with a stylish top, a flowy maxi, or a long cocktail dress—whatever feels festive and comfortable.
For men: An Indo-Western vest set, a crisp kurta, or a blazer with pants—classic, polished, and celebration-ready.
🌤️ Note: The event is outdoors and begins at 6 PM. Expect a cool evening (around 17°C), so we recommend bringing a shawl or light layer.

Today, Anish will arrive in style, accompanied by music, dancing, and celebration, as all our guests join the party and dance their way to the ceremony site. This high-energy procession marks the exciting beginning of the big day!
Pheras

Once the groom arrives, the Pheras begin—an intimate and sacred ceremony where Anish and Sharmila are joined in marriage. Surrounded by loved ones, they will circle the holy fire in a ritual that marks the beginning of their life together. This is the heart of the wedding—the moment they become husband and wife—rooted in deep tradition, love and commitment.
As the sun sets, it’s time to turn up the music and celebrate with the Sangeet!This unforgettable evening is filled with performances, laughter, and dancing by family and friends, all coming together to honor the couple with joy, rhythm, and sparkle.

Visa requirements depend on your passport:
Panama & USA Passport Holders: No visa is required for stays up to 90 days within the Schengen Area (which includes Spain). Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned departure date.
India Passport Holders: A Schengen visa is required to enter Spain. We recommend applying well in advance, as processing can take several weeks. You will need to schedule an appointment at the nearest Spanish consulate and provide supporting documents such as travel insurance, accommodation details, and flight reservations.
